Heli Guides Val Formazza

In fact, Val Formazza is one of Heli Guide’s most diverse heli skiing locations thanks to accessible terrain that is perfect for everything from bringing your kids along with you, to conquering steep and exposed slopes where only experts can go.

Facts & FAQ
A trip with Heli Guides Val Formazza begins with a flight into either Turin, Bergamo, or Milan followed by a drive to Riale where the Heli Guides team has a special relationship with the Walser Schtuba Inn. Your stay there will be included in your heli skiing package. The helipad is just minutes away from the inn!
On arrival you’ll meet with your guides so you can review your itinerary and train with the avalanche safety gear you’ll be provided with. That includes an airbag, shovel, beacon, and avalanche probe, so you don’t need to travel with your own gear.
Val Formazza’s incredible snow is the result of heavy storms, and if one hits during your heli ski trip then helicopters may be grounded until it is safe to fly. Don’t worry though, because the guides also lead ski touring trips around Devero, Formazza, and San Domenico.
Formazza is also home to unique culinary and wine experiences. In fact, the Walser Schtuba has a popular wine list that draws inspiration from the region and makes for an excellent place to après. The entire time you’ll be surrounded by stunning views as well as buildings that have stood for hundreds of years through Val Formazza’s heavy snows!
