Heli Guides Livigno
Livigno is a small village located in northern Italy near the border with Switzerland and east of St. Moritz. As Europe's highest inhabited town, Livigno is 1816 meters above sea level and is surrounded by the beautiful Italian Alps. Livigno’s high elevation creates very cold winters that bring heavy snow. For heli skiers, that means a reliable snowpack that you can count on even in low snow years.
Because of Livigno's remote location, nestled in a 12 km long valley and isolated by mountains and freezing cold winters, it has earned the nickname "Little Tibet" for its similarities with that region.
Livigno is also famous for being a duty-free zone since the 18th century when Italy granted the area tax-free status. Today, the town routinely attracts visitors from France, Switzerland, Austria, and Germany, as well as local Italians, who vacation and purchase goods for considerably less than elsewhere in Europe.
The town has quite a skiing resume, so it's no surprise that the largest operator in Europe, Heli Guides Livigno has a location right here.

There are lifts all over this town, so if you can't fly, there's plenty of resort skiing! And if it's an outright blizzard, places like The Bar King will be packed. You'll have a great time meeting skiers from all over Europe, if you're not cuddled up by the fire. 🙂
