The amount of time and faith you must invest in order to go heli skiing can tower over the very mountains you ski down! After all, you can travel across the world to ski only for bad weather to keep you from ever touching the snow. (That's a fact. I've seen it more than once.) Yet, when the snow, weather, and terrain line-up, a single day of heli-skiing can be so rewarding that you literally walk away a different person. Put this on your "bucket-list!" After a cable car ride from Entréves, this off-piste marathon run begins at Punta Helbronner (3466m), 3km N.E of Mont Blanc. It then undulates for at least 18 kilometers along the Mer de Glace glacier and ends in Chamonix, a four to five hour descent! Oh yeah!
