Compared to some of the more remote heli skiing locations in places like British Columbia and Alaska, getting to Teton Springs Lodge Heli Ski is easy, affordable, and quick. Most visitors first fly into Idaho Falls Regional Airport (IDA), located just 70 miles west of Victor. The drive from the airport takes around 1 hour and 15 minutes. Optionally, you can fly into Jackson Hole Airport and enjoy a 20-minute shorter ride. Flights are generally more expensive to this location.
This ease of access does come with its caveats, however. Many remote operators offer shuttle and transfer services directly from the airport. With Teton Springs Lodge, you’ll have to either rent a car or facilitate a private transfer to your accommodations.
The beauty of staying at Teton Springs Lodge for your Idaho heli skiing trip is that you aren’t forced into one specific type of room. The lodge is not directly owned by High Mountain Heli and has a variety of accommodation options that can be completely customized to meet your needs.
Typically, most heli skiers stay in a one or two-bedroom luxury suite, as discounts are offered for these when you book a High Mountain Heli excursion. A minimum of a two-night stay is required to receive this discount. If you’re feeling luxurious, you can customize your stay to include multi-bedroom log homes.
At Teton Springs Lodge Heli Ski, you’ll have a variety of amenities available to you. These include:

The lines offered by this company are challenging, enduring, and tiring, so peak physical shape is suggested. In addition, proper gear is an absolute must. They do offer fat skis and fat snowboards that provide a much easier powder skiing experience for those that don’t have it under their belt already.
High Mountain Heli began in 1974 and operates just south of Jackson in the Snake River and Palisades Mountain Ranges, in addition to the Tetons and Gros Ventres. Typically, 12,000-15,000 vertical feet can be experienced on a given day, and guests fly with 4 other people in a new A-Star B3 helicopter.
Only daily heli skiing packages are offered at High Mountain Heli, giving skiers the opportunity to ski as much or as little as they want, within their own personal budgets. A single day of heli skiing costs $1,800 USD per person. Consult operator directly for current pricing.
