Facts & FAQ
You may be “out there” when you come to Gothics, but access to the lodge is quite easy in comparison to other locations. For starters, the CMH heli skiing Gothics lodge does not require a helipad transfer. Most guests will fly directly into Kelowna International Airport (YLW), and take a four-hour ride up North. CMH provides a group coach or private transfer directly from the airport, or you can opt to travel there yourself.
If driving from the Pacific Northwest or southern British Columbia, prepare for some breathtaking scenery. CMH will provide a lookout for you on the final 10-kilometer drive to the lodge after Revelstoke where there is zero cell phone service.
Gothics has recently undergone a modern renovation, and guests will find some of the most luxurious, yet comfortable features out of any of CMH’s locations. Gothics is world-renowned for its lively après ski atmosphere, where you can confidently kick back with a few libations and make memories that will last a lifetime. Skiers looking for a good time on and off the mountain will find what they’re looking for at this 31 guest room lodge.
Some of the unique accommodations offered include:
- High-end fitness center
- Ice-skating pond
- Wood fired sauna
- Outdoor firepit
In addition, although cat skiing is not provided by CMH for the occasional off-day, it is available down in Revelstoke if skiers are looking to make a trip.
While CMH heli skiing Gothics may not involve the most extreme terrain, the runs are long and exhausting and have many unpredictable features. For this reason, the location is best suited for individuals that have some level of heli skiing or backcountry experience.
A highlight of Gothics is the playful glades and below-treeline skiing that’s found throughout the surrounding mountains. Much of the skiing will take place in the Selkirks and Monashees, highly regarded for the quality of their snowfall. Placed perfectly in between coastal and mountainous storm tracks, Gothics receive large, but light precipitation accumulation.
