Bella Coola MV Cascadia Vessel
Are you a sailor at heart, or is land-dwelling just not your thing? The Bella Coola MV Cascadia Vessel reinvents the heli skiing experience by launching your adventures from a 138-foot catamaran. This cruise-style ship offers all the same amenities as a traditional lodge, but with the novelty and privilege of being out at sea during your entire stay.
Partnering with Maple Leaf Adventures, Bella Coola Heli Sports can provide this experience for visiting skiers that demand luxury and originality. In addition to the unique accommodations, you’ll have a deeper access to some of the operator’s most remote terrain.
Bella Coola MV Cascadia Vessel: Facts & FAQ
Anchored in Bella Coola, travel to the MV Cascadia is no different from any of Bella Coola Heli Sports’ other locations. You’ll first fly into Vancouver International Airport, where you’ll then catch a connecting flight to the smaller Bella Coola Regional Airport. Return airfare is provided, as well as ground transportation to and from the regional airport.
If the grandeur of being on a mega-boat, sailing the fjords of coastal British Columbia isn’t regal enough, the amenities on the Bella Coola MV Cascadia Vessel will surely satisfy. The ship has 8 private guest rooms and can accommodate up to 12 skiers. Onboard, you’ll have the choice of three different styles of cabins to relax in. These are:
- Campania & Salt Spring: These are the smallest cabins available at 160 square feet. They feature either a queen or two twin beds with access to the corridor only.
- Admiralty, Calvert, Moresby, & Vancouver: At 195 square feet, these cabins are slightly larger with queen and two twin bed offerings. Includes direct door access to the deck.
- Prince of Wales & Princess Royal: The higher-end cabin, you’ll have a one king bed in this 235 square foot suite. Door access to the deck is also provided.
With all cabin styles, you’ll have a private washroom, Starlink internet, and access to the top deck hot tub. A massage room is also available, as well as access to kayaks and paddle boards.
Roaming around the interior waters of B.C. means that you’ll be able to move with the weather. This provides alternative flight angles to get you to deeper regions of Bella Coola Heli Sports’ 3.55-million-acre tenure. No matter what terrain or snowpack you’re looking for, you’ll have the ability to find it aboard the MV Cascadia.
As this is a private heli skiing trip booked by a group, no specific ability levels are required. Per common sense, it’s advisable to be a strong resort skier at the minimum.
Available in 4, 5, or 7-night trips, the Bella Coola MV Cascadia Vessel does not have the typical package offerings of Bella Coola Heli Sports. Your group can completely customize the trip to incorporate as much skiing as possible. Pricing is based on an eight-person trip and all flight happens aboard an A-Star helicopter with 1 guide per 4 skiers.
In the event of a down day due to weather, you’ll have the option of docking and exploring the area or taking advantage of the onboard amenities. Cat skiing is not provided as an alternative.
