Facts & FAQ
Getting to the lodge is simple, as TML organizes all your transportation beyond the airport. The only thing you’ll be responsible for is booking your flight into Anchorage International Airport. Once there, TML will transport you to Hotel Captain Cook for one night’s rejuvenation before you arrive at the main lodge.
The following morning, you’ll be privately transported via a round trip flight from Anchorage to your heli skiing accommodations.
While staying at TML, you’ll truly be pampered off the slopes. Nothing is more relaxing than returning to your accommodations after a long day in the mountain and filling your time with some R & R. Tordrillo Mountain Lodge provides two different accommodation options for its visitors: the 6-room main lodge, and the 4-room Judd Lake Lodge.
Both facilities have a range of high-end amenities to take advantage of, including:
- Lakeside bar and gourmet dining room
- Large outdoor decks for spectacular views
- Optional massages
- Wood-enclosed sauna
- Daily yoga
- Lakeside hot tub
- Stocked wine cellar
Tordrillo Mountain Lodge’s guides are truly top-notch at scouting out the day’s best locations. Each guide has a minimum of 15 years of experience in these mountains, and they know every hidden nook and cranny the region offers. With over 1.2 million acres of terrain available in the tenure, you’ll never get bored, as each run brings something entirely different.
Elevations range from 7,500 to 2,000 feet, meaning altitude sickness is never a worry. The region’s cold, dry weather patterns support deep and light powder that’s an absolute delight to ski through.
All ability levels are accommodated as well. There is always less intense, lower pitched terrain that can be selected by the guides, particularly on bad weather days where there’s a risk for avalanches.
TML values all-inclusivity, premier accommodations, and hassle-free planning. The lodge takes care of nearly all the planning for you so that you can simply show up and ski. As such, only one package variation is offered, but its details rival many other heli skiing operators.
Their package includes:
- 7 nights of stay at the main lodge or Judd Lake Lodge
- 5 Hobbs Hours of skiing, no vertical guarantees
- Gourmet, chef-prepared meals
- Use of all amenities
All heli skiing is serviced by an A-Star helicopter with a maximum of four guests per load. In the case of a down day, cat-skiing is not available but there are more than enough activities to pursue at the lodge including, fat-biking, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing. Private heli skiing is also available, for a significantly higher price.
