Seven Reasons to Go Ski / Shred in Alaska with Pulseline Adventure.
We at Heli-Skier have not skied with this operator as of yet. However, we have developed a certain, firm confidence with them. Here's why we're comfortable reviewing and recommending this operator, prior to a visit!
A few times in previous seasons, we've been chatting it up with people on a heli-trip or at an airport or a random conversation somewhere, and we've learned about a new operator. That was certainly the case with Pulseline Adventure...and it kept serendipitously happening again and again until Cameron Spies with Pulseline actually reached out to us and asked if we could connect and add Pulseline to our site.

ONE: We were skiing at Bell2 in Northern BC in February 2025, and after nearly a decade of heliskiing around the globe, we had yet to go skiing in Alaska. Anxious to get to AK, we asked our guide for his suggestions. He said to look up Pulseline Adventure. Having created content on our site for nearly every operator and location worldwide, especially Alaska, this was a new name for us...(but certainly not a new operator!) Hmmm...our eyebrows went up!
TWO: On that trip, we skied with Alex Schenk, a very accomplished skier, who is a luxury level tour operator and mountain guide from the Dolomites. He DM'd us later in the season and said, "Yes, I would recommend Pulseline Adventure. I skied with them and, they were very professional." Alex is a global adventurer and mountain guide and had some interesting stories about skiing with Glen Plake, so he had some "ski cred" from our perspective.
THREE: When we booked a private tour with Sweetwater Heli, the 2026 brand new operator in Bridgeport California, "Champ" was one of our guides. Jason Champion also guides for Pulseline Adventures. Naturally, we got a chance to know "Champ" a little bit and get a better feel for a Pulseline as an operator.

FOUR: Founder, Pete got a text from a friend who was meeting with a client in Southern California. Because Pete is an authority on the topic of heliskiing, his friend's client wanted to know how much Pete knew about Pulseline. His friend was going up there in the next several days, for his first heli trip. Pete followed up several weeks later, connecting directly with the client, via text, to see how the trip was. "It was awesome! I rebooked for next year!" That says a lot about a heli-operator when their client's rebook for next year, before exiting from their current trip.
FIVE: Then Cameron "Cam" called Pete. Cam had searched Heli-skier.com, and he discovered that Pulseline Adventure was not represented on the site, so he asked if we could do something about that! A Zoom call followed including Cam, Pete and Heli-Skier's Director of Affiliate Relations, Alex. Our conversation with Cam was super cool. It was a conversation among like-minded individuals, who share the same experiences and values - this was a confidence builder for sure! Cam also remembered the shredder (Pete's friend's client), and said, "Yeah, I remember him. He was RAD!"

How Do I Get to Pulseline Adventure in Alaska? Where Are They?

Pulse Line Adventure operates out of Valdez, Alaska.
Your likely itinerary is to fly into Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC).
Most guests rent a 4 wheel drive vehicle with snow tires and make the five+ hour drive from Anchorage, up, around & down down to Valdez. You'll need to arrange your flight and transportation plans to get to the Totem Hotel & Suites in Valdez to check in the first evening of your trip. If flying weather permits, you'll ski / ride on the day that you check out.
Driving: You must cross Thompson Pass, a high mountain pass prone to heavy snow, high winds, blizzards, and temporary closures or avalanche control delays. The 300-mile route via the Glenn and Richardson highways is paved and plowed regularly by the state...when it's not dumping!
Most travel advisory chatter leans towards driving from Anchorage vs. flying into Valdez.
Flying: It's a quick 45 minute flight from ANC! (If you can make it.) Commuter flights into Valdez are notorious for weather-related delays and cancellations due to low visibility, high winds, and heavy cloud cover over the Chugach Mountains.
Hey! It's a heliskiing trip! You have to be flexible! We have always preferred to give ourselves an extra day or two on the front end of a trip, to allow for travel delays. We have also learned the hard way that booking a return flight home with flexibility, can be a wise decision, particularly from Anchorage (and Europe!)
