Getting to your destination to go heli skiing in Zermatt, you’ll need to fly to either Geneva or Milan, before continuing on your way to the village via car, bus, or train.
The village of Zermatt has chosen to be free of automobile traffic. If you rent a car to travel, then you’ll have to leave your car at one of the parking facilities in Täsch. From there, you'll catch a train, which is only a 12 minutes ride. If you are bringing ALL of your ski gear, then plan on some logistical challenges.
You’ll very likely be checking into the Cervo Swiss hotel where the rooms and views are so beautiful you may not want to leave!
Once you’re rested, all set and ready to go, it's time to get airborne! You’ll meet with your guides from Heli Guides Zermatt for your safety briefing and to receive all the proper avalanche safety gear. You’ll also be briefed on where you’ll be skiing by your guides. Soon after you’ll take off in an Airbus AS 350 Ecureuil B3 (A-Star) helicopter which has room for 4 guests and a guide and of course a pilot!
From there you’ll head to either Zermatt, Cervinia, Ollomont, or maybe even Gressoney depending on where the snow and weather are best. No matter where you go though, you’ll have an experienced guide who can take you to landing zones as high as 3,899 meters.
After an outstanding day of heli skiing Zermatt, you’ll of course have one of the most picturesque alpine villages in the world in which to dine, drink, and relax. If the weather prevents heli skiing then the Heli Guides Zermatt team will lead you on an off-piste skiing adventure, so you can still ski the Alps!
