Dave Brady - Heli-Skier & Resort Charger
Born in the 50s, Dave Brady is still a hard charger after he exits the heli and frequently found in North & South Tahoe.
The oldest brother of Heli-Skier Founder Pete Brady, Dave earned his ski "stripes" in the late sixties at "Homewood," now called Homewood Mountain Resort.
Throughout his years, he's had the pleasure of an education in CO, skiing nearly all the Colorado resorts, as well as other iconic U.S. resorts.
With heli trips to: Selkirk Tangiers, Arctic Heliskiing, Bear Paw Heli & Sweetwater Heli, Dave has seen more than a few days in the A-Star.
As the oldest of three boys, he lead the family's transition to Alpine Meadows, not long after their formative days at Homewood.
In the 70s, the Brady boys were part of a notorious pack of trouble-making, BIG-AIR taking, POW-Chasing marauders on skis from a town know as Orinda, in the East Bay of San Francisco.

Nearly everyone of the "kids" from that town skied, and skied HARD!
Runs like "Idiot's Delight" & "Key Hole" were the rights of passage for this young crew.
They didn't live in Tahoe (at least not yet!), but they acted like it and "owned" Alpine Meadows in their teens and 20s! They had a "seasonal" ski locker (for locals & regulars) at the resort for 34 years.
During that era of growth in the sport in North Tahoe, the internationally known Squaw Valley didn't necessarily have the spotlight. The 1960 Winter Olympics were well in the rear view mirror, and freak accidents at Squaw and horror stories of chair lifts rolling backwards kept some of the ski families more than content to stay at Alpine Meadows.
Then came the merger between Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley that created Palisades Tahoe after Troy Caldwell sold his land that connects the ski resorts. Everyone at Alpine knew Troy from his professional career as a free skier in the 70s.
And that infamous sale & merger (spanning decades, it seemed), is a story for an entirely different chapter!
Dave Brady still maintains a more than significant dose of skiing STOKE! He can still be seen throughout the season at the top of the Summit Chair and of course flying down the corduroy groomers on Blue-Green Trail on his latest pair of skis!
